The objective of the research was to examine the influence of operational performance (productivity of plantation produce, dry rubber content, productivity of manpower and costs of manpower) and macro economy (credit interest rate and the price of rubber ) on the company’s profitability of PT Indo Java Rubber Company. The Proxy of Profitability was return on investment. The population was the data of the company’s operational performance during the observation from 2009 to 2015, with the total data of 84 months. The Sampling technique used is purposive sampling. The data were gathered by obtaining the documentation of the company’s financial report and management report processed by using multiple linear regression analysis and Eviews Software
version 9. The result of the research showed that Simultaneously, operational performance (Productivity of Plantation Produce, Dry Rubber Content, Productivity of Manpower and Cost of Manpower) and macro economy (Credit Interest Rate and Price of Rubber) had significant influence on return on investment with a value of adjusted R2 of 81.89%. Partially, four variables (Cost of Manpower, Dry Rubber Content, Productivity of Manpower and Price of Rubber ) had significant influence on return on investment . While the two variables (Productivity of Plantation Produce and Credit Interest Rates) had not significant influence on return on investment.
