Pengaruh keselamatan dan kesehatan kerja (K3) dan motivasi kerja terhadap kinerja karyawan di industri maritim
This study aims to analyze the influence of occupational health and safety (OHS) and work motivation on employee performance in a maritime work environment, with a case study at Smit Lamnalco. The research is grounded in the importance of implementing a safety system and strengthening motivation as crucial factors in improving performance within high-risk industries such as offshore marine services. A quantitative approach was employed using the Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) method. The sample consisted of active employees, and data were collected through an online questionnaire. The results show that occupational health and safety has a positive and significant effect on employee performance. Furthermore, work motivation also has a positive and significant impact and is identified as the most dominant factor influencing performance. These findings are supported by theoretical foundations and previous studies that emphasize the importance of a safe work environment and positive psychological conditions in enhancing work effectiveness. Based on the results, it is recommended that the company continuously strengthen its OHS system and design measurable motivation strategies to support sustainable productivity. This study is expected to contribute to the development of human resource management in the maritime sector.
