Pengaruh Gaya Kepemimpinan dan Beban kerja terhadap Kinerja Kru Kapal yang Dimediasi oleh Kelelahan Kerja dan Shift Rotation System
The maritime industry in Indonesia plays a vital role in economic growth and regional connectivity. In this context, the performance of ship crews as key players in ship operations significantly influences the efficiency of maritime travel. This study focuses on the influence of leadership style and workload on employee performance within the maritime industry, considering the mediating roles of fatigue and shift rotation systems.
The research employed a quantitative method with 78 ship crews from PT X as respondents in the year 2023. Data was collected through questionnaires and analyzed using the path analysis technique (Path Analysis) through SPSS software version 23 for Windows.
The research findings indicate that leadership style does not have a significant influence on fatigue, whereas workload has a significant influence on fatigue. Furthermore, leadership style significantly affects the shift rotation system, while workload does not exhibit the same impact. There is also a significant influence between leadership style and workload on performance, as well as between fatigue, shift rotation system, and performance. However, fatigue does not mediate the influence of the shift rotation system on performance, whereas the shift rotation system mediates the influence of leadership style on performance, and fatigue mediates the influence of workload on performance.
This study provides important insights for the maritime industry in optimizing factors affecting the performance of ship crews. The implications of these research findings can serve as a foundation for developing more effective strategies to enhance the performance and well-being of ship crews and strengthen operational sustainability in the future
