Pengaruh Beban Kerja dan Kompetensi terhadap Kualitas Laporan dengan Pemediasi Kinerja: Studi Kasus PT Makara Jaya Marine
Maritime transportation and shipping play a pivotal role in a country's economy, including Indonesia. Despite its significance, this sector faces challenges, particularly in safety and security aspects. The government has established stringent standards for ship safety, including periodic inspections and surveys conducted by independent parties with appropriate competencies and certifications. This study focuses on the influence of workload and competence on report quality, considering the mediating role of performance. The research employs a quantitative approach, involving 59 surveyors from PT. Makara Jaya Marine in 2023 as respondents. Data is collected using questionnaires and analyzed using the path analysis technique (Path Analysis) through SPSS version 23 for Windows software. The research findings reveal significant influences between workload and performance (t-value: -2.016, significance level: 0.049), competence and performance (t-value: 7.641, significance level: 0.000), workload and report quality (t-value: 5.131, significance level: 0.000), as well as competence and report quality (t-value: 4.128, significance level: 0.000). Moreover, performance acts as a mediator between competence and report quality (z-value: 3.434, significance level: 0.000), whereas there is insufficient evidence to support performance as a mediator between workload and report quality (z-value: -1.789, significance level: 0.073). This research provides valuable insights into the maritime transportation industry and enriches the understanding of the relationships among key variables within a more specific context
