Pengaruh Gaya Kepemimpinan dan Beban Kerja Tambahan Kinerja dengan Pemediasi Komitmen Organisasional di PT Kanaya
Indonesia, as one of the world's largest archipelagic countries, possesses a
promising maritime industry, particularly in the shipping sector. Rapid economic
growth, supportive government policies, and improved infrastructure have
propelled the development of the maritime industry in Indonesia. The success of
shipping companies relies heavily on the performance of maritime sector
employees. Their performance affects operational efficiency, company reputation,
and customer satisfaction.
This study employs a quantitative approach with 44 employee respondents
from PT. Kanaya in 2023. Data collection was carried out through questionnaires,
and path analysis using SPSS version 23 for Windows was utilized to analyze the
data. The research results reveal that leadership style significantly influences
organizational commitment (t-value = 2.911, significance level = 0.006), while
workload also significantly affects organizational commitment (t-value = -4.123,
significance level = 0.000). However, no significant relationship is found between
leadership style and performance (t-value = 1.343, significance level = 0.187), as
well as between workload and performance (t-value = -1.324, significance level =
0.193). A significant influence is identified between organizational commitment
and performance (t-value = 2.933, significance level = 0.006). Furthermore,
organizational commitment acts as a mediator between leadership style and
performance (z-value = 2.355, significance level = 0.019), as well as between
workload and performance (z-value = -3.402, significance level = 0.001).
These findings underscore the importance of leadership style, workload, and
organizational commitment in influencing employee performance at PT. Kanaya.
The implications of this study offer guidance to companies in enhancing employee
performance and managing the intricate relationships among these factors within
the maritime industry context
